This is where my story begins...
I’m a lifelong musician, songwriter, producer, and arranger whose work is built from the ground up — literally. Every instrument, every harmony, every rhythmic layer you hear in my recordings is played, sung, and shaped by me. I don’t use autotune or AI in my work; I’m drawn to the warmth and honesty of human performances.
I grew up surrounded by musicians — rehearsals shaking the walls, harmonies drifting through the house, and a front‑row seat to the communal magic of live music. That early environment shaped everything: my ear, my instincts, my sense of connection, and my belief that music is one of the last places where people can gather and feel something real together.
I’m entirely self‑taught. No formal training, no conservatory background — just decades of curiosity, experimentation, and a stubborn desire to understand how music works from the inside out. I started recording by bouncing cassette tapes between two decks, layering parts because I wanted songs to feel full. That impulse never left. Over the years, I became a producer and arranger out of necessity, then out of love. Crafting recordings — intricate, textured, and emotionally grounded — is still one of my greatest joys.

My musical approach leans toward the clever, the unexpected, and the melodic. I’m always searching for fresh chord combinations, new shapes, and rhythmic ideas that feel alive. I value hooks — lots of them — but I’m not interested in recycling the same well‑worn structures. I like when music surprises me, and I try to offer that same feeling to others.
Live, my performances are intentionally intimate. Sometimes it’s just a voice and a guitar. Sometimes it’s piano. Sometimes it’s layered harmonies, looping, sequencing, or textures built in real time. The goal isn’t to impress with technology — it’s to create a space where the music feels warm, human, and connected. A place where people can settle in and feel something honest.
My influences stretch across decades and genres — from the intricate storytelling of progressive rock to the precision of early electronic pioneers, from the emotional weight of singer‑songwriters to the rhythmic inventiveness of R&B and alternative music. I’ve never belonged to one genre, and I don’t try to. I follow whatever moves me, and I let that shape the music I make.
Today, my work lives in two worlds:
the recorded world, where I build full arrangements and original albums with intention and detail; and
the live world, where I explore a more vulnerable, immediate version of those instincts through my Live & Loose series and upcoming solo performances.
At the center of everything is a simple intention: to connect — honestly, warmly, and without pretense.
If you’re curious about the stories, reflections, and philosophies behind the music, my Backstage blog offers a deeper look into the journey that shaped me.
"I’m drawn to music that lives between restraint and momentum — songs that can be intimate or expansive, quiet or physical, but always intentional. What matters most to me is creating work that rewards attention and leaves space for the listener."
